SUN PEAKS AND OTHER SHIT.

Hey,

Tony is gone, he went last week sometime. Before we dropped him off at the airport we decided that a few days at Sun Peaks Resort would be a good idea. Sun Peaks is about an hour out of Kamloops and 3.5 hours from Revelstoke. We checked in to The Hearthstone Lodge for 2 nights which was pretty nice and it was 'ski in, ski out' so pretty convenient. The actual hill was fun but not overly steep, we did a bit of hiking and found a little bit of powder but spent most of our time on the groomed runs.

We're moving out of our house in a couple of days and have found another house just down the road that looks nice and we know the people so it should be a fun month coming up.

The van has been running pretty well and we decided it was time to rip the back seat out and put a bed frame in it for our travels post Revelstoke. It took 3 hours to build and about $60 and it turned out really well due to Sams supreme building techniques. Leah was good at yelling the directions so it was pretty much a team effort. Ha!.

So we're planning to leave Revy at the beginning of April and start tripping in the Ford somewhere. Not sure whether to start driving down the west coast of USA or hang around up this way for a bit and go to this music festival in May called Sasquash. I pretty much want to teleport to Mexico and eat tacos for a few months. So if i can figure a way to move human matter instantly in the next few weeks we will probably do that. Just have to wait and see.

Anyway, We are both looking forward to the last month of our stay in Revy, and are going to enjoy what is left of the snow, we have been getting a few cm's every day this week, still waiting on the elusive dump though. Here are some photos with us in them and pretty backgrounds and what not:

Tony is here!

Tony arrived in Canada last Wednesday. He flew into the Kamloops airport which is about 2hrs drive from Revelstoke. The drive there was fine but we were driving in the dark on the way home and it was SCARY! I drove for all of 10mins and had to pull over and swap with Sam because I could hardly see anything. Pitch black winding roads, trucks speeding past and snow do not make for great driving conditions.

We had a big night Wednesday so we recovered Thursday and went up the hill Friday. The airline lost Tony's snowboard bag so he had to hire and borrow gear for a few days.

Tony and I hiked over to the North Bowl on Saturday which was a mission, so we stopped for a photo shoot half way haha. The mountain is so big we are still finding new sections every time we go up.

We might be going on a little road trip to Sun Peaks and Silver Star resorts before we drop Tony off so we can try some new mountains an check out more of the country side.

Tonight is $2 drinks at the Regent. Hopefully it doesn't get too messy and we can still ride tomorrow. I will keep you all posted.

General Happenings.

Hi,

No new snow, the weather lady said their is snow coming soon and February is meant to be the best moth for snowfall so hopefully the white stuff is coming. We found a good snowboard cross sort of part on the hill which is really fast and has some good jumps so that has been keeping us occupied as of late.

Tony gets here in 2 days time, we are picking him up from Kamloops Airport (if he brings Vegemite) which is about a 3 hour drive from Revelstoke so hopefully the car holds up. We've been saving our pennies this week because when Tony gets here, we are going to tear the Stoke a new one.

We got some good shots on the mountain the other day. Their is a renowned layer of cloud/fog that sits on the hill that the locals have always called "The Poverty Line". Its called that because before the lifts went in, the only way you could get above The Poverty Line was if you owned a helicopter or a Ski-Do.

heres a couple of shots.

Leah cutting some totally sick air

Sam well above 'The Poverty Line'.
